Four Seasons Hotel Renovation

Four Seasons Hotel Renovation

The Four Seasons Hotel in Washington, DC, recently completed a $15 million suite transformation led by design agency ForrestPerkins. Maryland Architectural Glazing (MAG) led custom glass installations for an upgraded spa and over 60 guest rooms and suites. Enhanced accommodations feature custom frameless glass enclosures for showers and water closets, blending modern luxury with refined privacy. During Phase I of the Four Seasons Hotel Renovation, GGI fabricated over 300 pieces of 3/8” (10mm) Low-Iron and Low-Iron Satin-Etched tempered glass to support Maryland Architectural Glazing. The project demanded close attention to detail, minimal guest disruption, and custom designs suited to unique room layouts.

The partnership between GGI and MAG, combined with both companies’ commitment to quality craftsmanship, earned Maryland Architectural Glazing the Phase II contract, exemplifying their dedication to excellence. For Phase II, Maryland Architectural Glazing and GGI collaborated again to meet stringent quality and timeline requirements, ultimately installing over 600 pieces of glass across the project.

Glass selections featured ultra-clear transparent glass panels to accentuate the luxurious marble finishes and satin-etched glass for privacy in water closets and spa areas. This project was far from a standard, bulk-order approach. GGI’s precision fabrication and Maryland Architectural Glazing’s meticulous installation earned them the Phase II contract for the hotel’s transformative renovation.
The custom glass enclosures feature FHC's Valore style hardware, including an 8"x18" ladder pull handle, all in a polished nickel finish.

Low-iron, satin-etched glass was ideal for creating privacy for the spa and water closet doors while still allowing light to be shared between the spaces.
