Clear Laminated
Laminated glass is produced using two or more plies of glass with one or more plies of interlayer material, typically polyvinyl butyral (PVB). It is designed as a safety glazing solution and, with a minimum .030-inch interlayer, can meet ANSI Z97.1 and CPSC 16 CFR 1201 safety glazing requirements. Depending on the glass and interlayer configuration, laminated glass can also help reduce UV exposure, solar energy and sound transmission.
GGI offers standard stock sizes of laminated glass with PVB interlayers, including stock acoustic laminated glass for sound-control applications. Acoustic laminated glass uses a specialized sound-dampening interlayer to help reduce unwanted noise while maintaining the clear, transparent appearance of traditional laminated glass.
For custom laminated glass needs, GGI supplies configurations using major interlayer types, including PVB, SentryGlas® ionoplast, and ethylene vinyl acetate (EVA).
These options allow architects and designers to select the appropriate laminated glass configuration based on safety, security, structural, and decorative design requirements.
